The floating garden
In The Floating Garden, Jodi Gaines transports the viewer into a luminous and ethereal botanical world where blossoms seem to hover in space—not tied to earth, not bound by gravity. Through expressive mixed media, vibrant hues, and backgrounds that move, each floral subject becomes both intimate and dreamlike. The works evoke peace, fragility, and the light-filled moments when flowers glimmer.
ABOUT jodi gaines
Abstract REALIST & impressionist
Jodi Gaines is a contemporary artist based in South Florida whose work in acrylic, oil, and mixed media blends abstract realism and impressionism. Influenced by artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Mary Cassatt, she explores themes of beauty, empathy, lineage, resilience, and everyday life.
A lifelong creator who grew up in the Florida Keys, Jodi’s path has included music, digital design, entrepreneurship, and a national tour as a singer-songwriter. Yet painting has always been her quiet constant—a way to reconnect with memory, emotion, and the self.
In 2024, she returned fully to her art, not to begin again, but to return home.

Study of light & movement
In Light and Movement, Jodi captures fleeting phenomena — the pivot of shadows, the dance of colour, the hush between sun and shade. These works are about more than what we see; they're about how we see: moments when light shifts and reveals, when movement softens edges or sends reflections rippling.
